Very nice list. One thing I've noticed is that there are things my wife is good at, and things I'm good at. I suspect every family is this way. So being a couple is kind of like being good at everything.

Of course, I'm good at being firm and my wife is good at being soft, so we actually do have to work so that she can be firm sometimes and I can be a little bit more gentle.

I have already started my "virtues" of a Family Man. Once I feel I have ironed that out, I will certainly share a description and even my progress.

Hmmm... food for thought. I agree that he dropped the ball a bit by only applying it to one area of his life (not that I have any room to talk). It just seems like a natural progression to apply it to everything.

We are an environmental/wildlife rehab clinic/ animal rights organization, and we've been working for years to try and stop people from hunting. It is very difficult. Especially because we are located in WI! Where almost everyone is a redneck hunter. (except us) Your website is very helpful!

I totally agree Tony. Although sports are important, they seem to be taking a higher and higher priority in kids' lives as well of the lives of their parents. I feel that time spent with family and friends (especially camping) is every bit as important and is probably what most kids will remember most from their childhood.

For the record, this place closed late last year. I'm not surprised...great location, just not a *family* joint. A family joint would have really done well considering all the neighborhoods forced to drive by it on their way to/from I-235.
