In my last installment called, "Ending My Douchebaggery" I discussed a simple yet practical way to better yourself that I stole and modified a bit from an experiment Benjamin Franklin tried. While he was trying to achieve what he called Moral Perfection, I opted for a more focused goal of being a better family man. Those following me on Twitter were the first to learn that today I am the proud owner of a new smoker. In the world of smoking you have a lot of choices from the affordable to the holy grail of smokers. Being a software guy, it really all came down to what were my requirements (needs):

Review: Maverick Grill

Updated 5/29/2008: Got an anonymous troll that commented to this upset because I was so hard on the new restaurant in town. Only other thing they could come up with were some misspellings in the review itself (thanks, now fixed). The coward then suggested I go back in the fall. Actually, I was there just last week. Service was a touch better (no kids though) and the food was iffy at best. Two couples (friends) were there a week or so ago and left with the same impression. That said, I will take...
